Family Empowerment

At St. Andrew’s School, our whole child approach encompasses the family too. Our families are hardworking yet have limited financial means. This can mean, occasionally, that families need a community of support. St. Andrew’s works with families to help them jump the hurdles that life sometimes presents. The many family programs at SAS aid in building a close school community, another crucial component of a support network.

Family empowerment is an important part of the St. Andrew’s model and includes:

  • Full-time School Social Work Counselor
  • Connection with community resources
  • Family Healthy Cooking Classes
  • Summer camp scholarship coordination
  • Family chapel
  • Graduate support during middle school application process
  • Numerous opportunities for family participation and community through St. Andrew’s School Alliance (SASA)
  • Counselor Coffee Chats with other families
  • Partnerships with Elk Hill and Say It With Heart for emotional and behavioral support where needed
